Goodday

I went horseback riding today.
So Nice.
It was fun and just really great to be on a horse. The weather was perfect - short sleeves - and the horses were fun, energetic, and I love the smell. (kind of weird, I know) It was so relaxing and refreshing to be out there.
Then I went to choir practice where we are all practicing for the Christmas program coming up quickly. I haven't sung in a choir in a while and it is great to feel part of a team working together for a goal.
Refreshing.
Tonight I also went to a bonfire out at a friends house where I roasted marshmallows, played guitar, and sang. So nice. It's been a good day. Nice, considering that I've had an awful week. So, I'm winding down the evening sipping on some sleepy time tea with my feet up in my favorite chair with Kitty sleeping on my lap, campfire smell lingering on my clothes. Could it get any better? I'm sure it could, but I'm going to pretend that it couldn't.

Had a long day at work today.
Lots of patients with lots of problems.
Someone swore at me.
He was angry at the world.
Really now.
I actually got mad.
I'm a little bit embarrassed that I allowed someones harsh words to cause me anger.
Granted it was brief... but still.

powwow

It's been a hard week. Body aches, fever, non-existant air movement in my nose, working long hours, not enough sleep, nose dripping uncontrollably (even though I can't breathe through it). Job stress, no time at home, headache that won't go away, messy house, bills bills bills.

Then came sabbath.

Praise God for Sabbath. Slept plenty, went to church, sang, had lunch with friends, hung out, went horseback riding, saw a pow wow (whoa cool), birthday party for friend, flirted with Greg, read, slept plenty again, cold is starting to go away. Things are looking up.

I'm off to Canada on Thursday as well.... oh boy

Danny Davis in Ardmore, OK

Danny happened to be passing through from TX to MO to NE, and he stopped in for a visit! (haven't I been blessed with visitors?) I was still at work when he arrived so I had left him my key in a secret spot so he could make himself at home. It was at least another hour until I came home and in that time he had found my camera and very sneakily took random pictures... they made me laugh so much when I first saw them (much later after he left).






and then we cooked and cooked and cooked. Ah what a feast we had. Delicious delicious...




Oh it's good to hang out with people that you can just pick your friendship right up where you left it. Like we'd seen each other tuesday. I like that.

Justin was here this weekend! He came in on Friday afternoon. We ate chinese food, went to lake murray, petted some horses, tried to go for a hike... but it was soooo muddy, then ate more chinese food and then...
